Local considerations in Rochester, Medway
In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including aov windows, in good working order.
Work in Rochester is a mix of residential blocks, schools, offices, industrial units and homes, and we tailor the specification to how busy the site is.
We check the free area, window frame strength, opening angle, cable routes in fire-rated cable and the controller location.
