About car park smoke ventilation
Enclosed car parks use jet (impulse) fans and extract fans, or natural openings, to clear fumes daily and smoke in a fire.
Underground and enclosed car parks under flats, offices and shopping centres.
Local considerations in The Boldons, South Tyneside
In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including car park smoke ventilation, in good working order.
Around The Boldons we often work on smaller blocks, rural businesses, farms and private homes, where power supply and cable runs can be longer, so we check these at survey.
We check fans, CO detection, panel and fire alarm interface. Price shown is a comparable controller.
