About stair pressurisation systems
A pressurisation (pressure differential) system blows clean air into a stair or lobby so it stays at higher pressure and smoke cannot enter.
Used in high-rise residential, offices and firefighting shafts.
Local considerations in Basford, Nottingham
In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including stair pressurisation systems, in good working order.
Work in Basford is a mix of residential blocks, schools, offices, industrial units and homes, and we tailor the specification to how busy the site is.
We check fans, relief vents, door forces and controls. Price shown is a comparable controller; quoted after survey.
