In Wales, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B as published by the Welsh Government, and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as it applies in Wales to keep fire safety systems, including rain & wind sensors, in good working order.
Around Burry Port we often work on smaller blocks, rural businesses, farms and private homes, where power supply and cable runs can be longer, so we check these at survey.
