About rain & wind sensors

On roof vents and windows with comfort ventilation.
Local considerations in Newtown, Sir Powys
In Wales, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B as published by the Welsh Government, and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as it applies in Wales to keep fire safety systems, including rain & wind sensors, in good working order.
Around Newtown we often work on smaller blocks, rural businesses, farms and private homes, where power supply and cable runs can be longer, so we check these at survey.
We mount the sensor clear of drips and shelter and wire it to the panel.
Maintenance of rain & wind sensors in Newtown
Planned maintenance keeps rain & wind sensors safe and reliable and gives you records for insurers and inspections. We service Ventlux and all other makes: we check fixings, wear, power and battery backup, controls and safety devices, adjust and lubricate where needed, test operation end to end and leave a written report with any recommended actions.
