Used on flat roofs above stairs in blocks of flats and commercial buildings.
Local considerations in Rawtenstall, Lancashire
In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including smoke vent roof hatches, in good working order.
At roughly 171 m above sea level, Rawtenstall sees more wind, driving rain and frost than lowland areas, so we pay attention to weather sealing, cable entries and, for vents, rain and wind sensors.
Work in Rawtenstall is a mix of residential blocks, schools, offices, industrial units and homes, and we tailor the specification to how busy the site is.
