In smoke shafts and mechanical systems on each floor.

Local considerations in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire

In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including smoke dampers, in good working order.

Around Edwinstowe we often work on smaller blocks, rural businesses, farms and private homes, where power supply and cable runs can be longer, so we check these at survey.
