About smoke ventilation louvres

Smoke louvres have motorised blades that open for smoke venting and close for weather. They can sit in facades or roofs.

Used in commercial buildings, atriums, shopping centres and residential corridors.

Local considerations in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including smoke ventilation louvres, in good working order.

At roughly 162 m above sea level, Kirkby in Ashfield sees more wind, driving rain and frost than lowland areas, so we pay attention to weather sealing, cable entries and, for vents, rain and wind sensors.

Work in Kirkby in Ashfield is a mix of residential blocks, schools, offices, industrial units and homes, and we tailor the specification to how busy the site is.

We check opening size, wind exposure and blade drive. Price shown is a comparable actuator; louvres are quoted after survey.
