About smoke ventilation louvres

Smoke louvres have motorised blades that open for smoke venting and close for weather. They can sit in facades or roofs.

Used in commercial buildings, atriums, shopping centres and residential corridors.

Local considerations in Wetherby, City and Borough of Leeds

In England, smoke ventilation in new and altered buildings is designed under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations (England), and once the building is occupied the responsible person has duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to keep fire safety systems, including smoke ventilation louvres, in good working order.

Around Wetherby we often work on smaller blocks, rural businesses, farms and private homes, where power supply and cable runs can be longer, so we check these at survey.

We check opening size, wind exposure and blade drive. Price shown is a comparable actuator; louvres are quoted after survey.
