About smoke shafts
A smoke shaft is a vertical duct from each floor's corridor to the roof, with a vent or damper on each floor and an AOV at the top. Natural shafts rely on buoyancy; mechanical shafts add a fan.
Used in residential corridors of taller blocks of flats.

Work in Newry is a mix of residential blocks, schools, offices, industrial units and homes, and we tailor the specification to how busy the site is.
We check shaft size, damper or vent on each floor, top vent and controls. Price shown is a comparable controller.
